Taste - A unique flavour which is both sweet and sharp. Unlike Lemon Basil it has a slight earthy, liquorice flavor. A more powerful flavour than green Basil.
Nutrition - A good source of iron and believed to have strong anti-bacterial and anti-inflamatory properties. If you are not keen on the flavours it can double up as an insect repellent.
